My soft furnishings are custom made using the customer's fabric. There are many decorative techniques which can be applied to pelmets, tiebacks, blinds and cushions, which will make your furnishings individual.

Curtains can be interlined for insulation and a luxurious appearance. Their edges can be trimmed to tie in with other furnishings in the room. Headings can be made using commercial tape, or hand pleated into French pleats or goblets. All hems are weighted.

Pelmets can be stiffened and cut to shape, or softly gathered or pleated from a piped and stiffened band, or again commercial heading tape can be used for economy. Embellishments such as trumpets, crowns, rosettes and bows can all lend grandeur to an otherwise simple scheme.

A lambrequin can be the answer for windows where curtains would be in the way, e.g. a kitchen window, or a hazard, e.g. a small stairway, and if privacy is required, a blind can be hung behind it.

Tiebacks will usually echo the design of the pelmet, but can be piped, frilled, gathered, tied, etc.
A smart Roman blind can have a contrast border added, or a shaped lower edge to add interest.
A soft Austrian blind is very feminine and can be further softened with frills or a lace trim.

With cushions, the sky's the limit - square, rectangular, circular, shaped, with simple piping, extended borders, frills, patchwork, appliqué, with different fastenings: zip, buttons, laces, etc.
A bedroom can be smartened up with a valance for the bed base, which can match the window treatment. A shaped track above the bed head can be hung with drapes, with a matching bedspread to complete the scheme.
Bedding sets of duvet cover, pillow case and sheet can be made up to any design and can be great for children.

A loose cover for a tired sofa or chair can give it a totally new lease of life. Fabric must be hard-wearing and preferably washable, but today's man-made mixtures make for a huge choice.

I offer a measuring and fitting service, and can arrange for tracks, pelmet boards, etc. to be fixed.

I supply curtain lining and quality heading tape, and the necessary notions for making up your designs.

It is impossible to offer a price list for my soft furnishings, as every job is different.
However, as a rough guide, lined curtains with commercial heading tape up to 50" Drop are charged at £10 per width of fabric, and up to 84" Drop at £15 per width of fabric. Longer lengths are charged at £20 per width of fabric. The linings are locked into the curtains by hand, and lead weights are stitched into the hems.
For interlined curtains add £10 per width of fabric.
